Moderation techniques are counted among the soft skills often needed in modern professional life. Moderation is a tool that assists communication in a team, ensuring that the resources participants bring to the table can be employed optimally. The participants play an active part in decision-making and reform processes. The role of the moderator is to provide problem-solving assistance and make participants aware of other points of view as well. The moderator conducts the meeting from a neutral position and helps the participants to reach a consensus by means of various methods

It is a set of facilitation techniques such as:

  • Single dot question – for warm-up, raising interest to the topic, get impression
  • Card question – for collection (ideas, aspects, alternatives etc.)
  • Multi-dot-question – for get a ranking
  • Vernissage – for work out and evaluate solutions
  • Action plan – for recording actions of results
  • This hands-on facilitation toolkit is an action-focused method which helps to activate the energy in the team and keep the frames.

  • Teaching the 5 Moderation techniques – for getting tuned, collecting ideas, prioritizing, elaborating topics, and making an action plan – practical application, getting individual experience

  • How to design or plan a workshop process
  • Steps, aspects of having an efficient workshop
  • Gaining individual experience, practical application, planning and preparing individual workshops or meetings, collecting resources for improvement under trainers’ supervision
